About Us

Nestled in the small town of Danville, in central Pennsylvania, St. Joseph School is home to students from 14 different school districts. We provide a private Catholic education to students from Prek-3 to 8th grade.  St. Joseph School has provided the community of Danville with academic excellence since we opened our doors in 1890. 

We believe:

• That all students will be instilled with a love of their faith through a traditional Christian centered education

• That no education is complete unless it includes principles of the Gospels

• That parents are the primary educators of their children and we accept the role as partners in the mission of Catholic Education

We emphasize: 

• That all students are capable of learning and deserve a quality, individualized education

• Reading skills particularly in primary grades stressing phonics, comprehension, and oral reading

• Creative writing

• Art, Music, Spanish, Physical Education, Technology, Library, and Health classes for children at all grade levels

• Hands-on computer usage for enhancement and reinforcement of academic skills at all levels

• Opportunity for enrichment/remedial instruction
